We make Dhirde (savoury pancakes) regularly. We make it in different types. Today I am going to show you Jowar Dhirde (Sorghum pancakes). Which is healthy and different. Different in taste. We have taken 1 cup Jowar flour (Sorghum Flour).
To that we’ll add 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder. If you don’t want it spicy, you can add less Chilli powder. 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp Asafoetida. 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder. That one thing that will enhance.
. ..the taste of the pancake is kasoori methi (dried fenugreek seeds). So here I’ve taken 1 and 1/2 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves Let’s add some curd. So I have taken 1 tbsp curd. Salt to taste. Mix it together.
Now we’ll add water slowly part by part. We’ll stir it well. We’ll add some more water. It has mixed well. To this I haven’t added coriander leaves If you want you can add some finely chopped coriander leaves.
Now we’ll begin to make the pancake. The pan is heated. We’ll take a spoon full of batter. And place it in the centre of the pan. We’ll spread it a bit. Do not make it very thin. Keep it a little thick.
And cook it on low to medium heat. We’ll add a little oil. We’ll flip it to the other side. It’s become nice golden colour. We’ll let it cook on the other side as well. The pancake is ready. We’ll remove it in the plate.
