Hi and welcome. As you already know by the title we are going to be making chicken nuggets in the airfryer today. The airfryer that I am using is the Cooks Essentials 5.3 quart. So go ahead and grab your chicken and let’s go ahead and get started.
Okay let’s make some chicken nuggets. I have just under two pounds of chicken thighs they are boneless and skinless. You can use chicken breast of course if you would rather. First thing I’m going to do is cut off this excess fat.
I’m going to go ahead and do that and then we’ll go on to the next step. Okay, I got the fat trimmed off these chicken thighs to where I’m happy with it. I’m gonna go ahead and cut these into bite-size pieces.
All right I’m done cutting the chicken thighs up now let’s go ahead and get our breading started. I have my “booger dish” okay before you get grossed out let me explain. Some of you already know booger 500 she also does air frying recipes.
But she has a dish like this and people always ask her where she got it. I went to the thrift store last week saw this the first thing I said was “oh my gosh it’s a booger dish!” and I had to get this.
So that’s why I call this my booger dish. All right what I have here is one cup of all-purpose flour, one egg with about a tablespoon of milk. I just wanted to stretch the egg out a little bit so I wouldn’t have to use two.
May still end up needing two eggs we will see. Let’s season our flour up. This is what I’m going to be using. I have one teaspoon each of garlic powder, black pepper, paprika and salt. Give that a mix.
I’m going to add just a little bit of cayenne pepper in here and of course you can leave that out. Now I’m just going to go ahead and add some cayenne to this. So we’re gonna take our chicken and go into the flour first then into our egg and then back into our flour.
I like to press in and make sure that breading sticks well. Shake off the excess and I’m going to go ahead and finish these up and I’ll be right back. Okay the chickens all breaded I just wanted to show you how much I had left.
It was cutting it close but we made it. I’m going to go ahead and place our chicken nuggets into the air fryer basket. I don’t want to get these too crowded and of course I’m gonna have to do two batches.
Now I’m just gonna go ahead and spray these with some olive oil. My sprayer is clogged. that ismore of a stream in there but that’s alright. Let’s go ahead and pop these into the air fryer. Fifteen minutes on 400 degrees halfway through I’m gonna flip these over.
Okay we’re about halfway through we’re gonna go ahead and flip these over and then we’re gonna let it continue cooking the remaining seven minutes. I love my little baby tongs. I’m gonna spray a few of these where there’s some heavy flour on here.
Alright let it go the remaining eight minutes- seven minutes and they will take a temp on these and see where we are at. Our fifteen minutes is up and I really wish one of you would hurry up and invent smell-o-vision because it smells so good in here.
These look beautiful. Take a temperature on these real quick. We are looking for at least 165. And we are good. Let’s go plate these up. I was going to serve this with sweet chili sauce but I was afraid some of you might strangle me if I mentioned chili sauce again.
Alright… this is so juicy. Oh my goodness. I can taste the cayenne and the other spices. This is perfectly seasoned. This turned out really good. I am loving the breading. a Again, the spices are perfect the chicken is tender and juicy.
