1 bowl of cooked toor dal to be kept aside.
1 bowl of fresh tender tamarind leaves
(chintha chiguru)
1 bowl of fresh sorrel (chukkakoora)
3 sliced green chillies
1/2 tsp pappu podi
1/4 tsp red chilly powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp of salt
for tempering :
1/4 tsp of urad dal
1/4 tsp of chana dal
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
a pinch of asafoetida
few curry leaves
1 tsp oil

preparation :

heat oil , add all tempering ingredients.
when they starts splutter, add tender
tamarind leaves and sorrel , saute for 2 min.
add chilly powder, pappu podi, turmeric, curry leaves
and salt , saute it and cook for another 2 min.
add cooked dal to the mixture.
it goes very well with hot rice and roti.
