I’m gonna do a bit of a flashback film about making sausages and English breakfast So should be good, keep watching English breakfast have a look at this MUSIC INTRO So Fry up , English Fry Up.
The pans hot, the oil is hot, all your going to do Do pretty simple grab a piece of bacon and chuck that in the frying pan Listen to that sizzle, chuck a sausage in too But that’s not actually the way, I’m gonna do a fry up for you today.
I’m doing something completely different Keep watching and find out how you can make something so tasty that everyone loves it So this is the traditional way to do a Fry Up quite often I do this if I’m in a rush.
To be honest with you it does taste very much of grease though also Traditionally not everything would have been fried the Fry Up came as a convenience food so quick food They want to cook quickly and the quickest way to cook things generally is frying Let me show you something different, so you’re probably thinking.
What’s this guy doing? Why isn’t he just frying it? It well because anyone can show you how to throw things in the frying pan, and that’s not what I’m trying to do I’m trying to show you the best way you can cook this for friends family and Make it all come together in a really tasty way MUSIC So got some delicious bacon there It’s a little bit different to European or American bacon it is a full slice of bacon and that’s how we like it 🙂 delicious beefsteak tomato Lovely and red.
We’ve got some Lovely looking black pudding and some mushrooms some eggs Sausages there honey roast sausages, should be quite nice and baked beans Beans Branson baked beans – Heinz Baked Beans Both big brands which one am I going to use This is the old school.
This is a new school keep watching find out So another reason why I don’t always fry my breakfast is because sometimes I’ve cooked for a few different people So if you can imagine trying to do a fried breakfast for four people or six people you can’t fit it all in the frying pans it becomes an absolute nightmare So this is a really easy way to plan ahead and get everything in Separately and just cook it at the end ,make just like Pro Originally weddings were Held in the mornings it must have been held by 12 o’clock So this is actually a meal which used to come from weddings in the Victorian times and before It was a massive Feast they used to eat in the morning before they all got drunk so the first meal you ever eat as man and wife once you’ve Been married would be a wedding breakfast How cool is that! And today the English breakfast is known worldwide go to Hotel in Dubai Go to Hotel in Germany, go to house in France there were no an English breakfast is it’s meat lots of meat, lots of grease and lots of goodness.
It can’t really be in English fried without a Set of mushrooms, I’m sorry It really can’t. If The mushrooms are missing forget it…. so either quarter them or I tend to sort quite thickly slice them like this What we’ll be doing is quickly cooking them up with some butter some salt pepper Simple as that in their own juices and they are gonna be delicious I cut mine this way.
If you cut them into quarters they are a little bit more moist Butter hopefully by now you’ve all seen my butter making video if you haven’t please go and watch it It shows you how to make butter so quickly and so cheaply it’s amazing saves you a fortune This butter isn’t actually my butter.
I’ll be completely honest. I bought this today It’s from Rhoddas, which local dairy down Cornwall a bit more in there So you’ve got a nice good bit of butter salted or unsalted up to you, but to take that into account when you season it Cool blimey Guv! There’s not Mushroom (Much room) in there is there Quick sprinkle of seasoning on top now Chuck on the hob Tomato so this is a nice big red beefsteak tomato and what we’re gonna be doing is cutting this in half and Grilling that one.
It is really soft tender and a little bit crispy on top should be really tasty Look at that it’s gonna be nice and juicy Okay as I said, I’m gonna bake the sausages much may be a little bit controversial But it’s definitely the best way to do them find an older pan put a grill or a rack over it But the sausages on top all the fat goes on the bottom there don’t use your best pan for this It’s not worth it So these are going to go to the oven at 160 degrees Celsius for around about 30 -35 minutes And that will give them the perfect sort of time to go lovely juicy and crispy I’m about to secretly select which one these two baked beans.

What want to do is just go through a couple of different things This is often known as an English Breakfast or a fry-up You also have a Welsh breakfast, a Scottish breakfast and a Cornish breakfast. The Cornish breakfast has a kind of white hogs pudding We normally put with it.
The Scottish breakfast has a kind of potato type scone and I knew it the Welsh breakfast has some kind of seaweed-based bread with it. All right the sausage is written at 160 and all I’m going to be grilling we’ll is actually the bacon and tomato I think bacon grilled properly is absolutely mind-blowing I’m a bacon adin in fact also Tomatoes are really really good grilled I put tinfoil underneath just to keep them warm place and actually to help a little bit of cooking you want to start the mushrooms Off the saucepan quite high heat get it sizzling away, and then we’ll just turn it down to a low simmer For me that’s excatly how I like my mushrooms in an English breakfast any other time I probably think they’re burnt but with an English breakfast.
This is exactly how I want them nice and crispy chewy Buttery as they taste so good and go so well slowly caramelised. Not really caramelised slowly cooked in butter salt pepper amazing Now let’s have a quick look at these sausages.
I pulled this out of the oven they are literally smock Probably can’t see it They’re made out of honey Honey pork actually funnily enough nothing to do with me though They are made out of honey so when he baked them in the oven they basically keep most of juices It’s good to have a sausage with about 80% meat and a little bit of fat and a bit of Rusk as well I think they’re the best sausage you can get when you’ve got a mixture of all three With baked beans you just want to gently heat them up Frying pans getting ready for the fried egg and the black pudding Mushrooms are on hold at the back.
They’re Looking good get the oil in your sauce pan nice and hot and in goes the black pudding You need two really don’t you. Get your frying pan nice and hot just to finish off those piece of black pudding and get your egg ready I got some eggs here local shout out local farm brilliant In goes the egg Lovely (SIZZLES) Tasty sizzling bacon, time to flip it over tomatoes looking okay when it gets like this just turn it over I Quickly flipped over the tomatoes and took bacon off just to finish them off How does that look Thickly butter your bread I’m gonna do something quite cool with us in a minute so keep watching Do you Remember I said about buttering the bread well.
This is why I Grab a piece of black pudding grab the fried egg It’s quite hot and pop it on top Look at that. That’s my English fried baked breakfast underneath here. You’ve got the black pudding Nice yolk there sausages, excuse me, mushrooms, bacon, baked beans, tomato, black pudding.
Oh Almost forgot just one more thing. A nice cup of tea lovely jubbly So with a mushroom, that’s a funny shaped mushroom. Isn’t it?
