Hi… Welcome to Godavari’s Kitchen Today, we are going to prepare Futu vegetable. Its local mushroom called as fotu. It grows naturally in fields, forests, etc. It grows naturally by its own. And it tastes delicious.
This is Chhattisgarh local dish. And it tastes too good. It comes with lot of mud, so it is be washed thoroughly multiple times in water. After that break each futu into 4 parts length wise. Then break it into small parts.
Similarly, will take another futu. Will divide it into 4 parts lengthwise. Then will break it into small parts. Similarly, we will break all futus. We have washed it one more time in warm water. Heat 5 teaspoon oil in kadhai.
Oil is hot. First, we will put 10-12 half chopped garlic cloves. Add 2 medium sized onions chopped finely. Add 6 green chilli chopped finely. Saute till it gets brown in color. Its gets brown in color now.
Will add chopped futu into it. Stir it. Close lid and cook it in medium flame. We have cooked it for almost 15 minutes. Its leaving oil too. In this now. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. Add 1 teaspoon red chilli powder.
Add 1 teaspoon coriander powder. In this vegetable, salt is required less. Adding just 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Add 3 medium sized tomatoes. Finely chopped tomatoes. Let it cook for some time. Close lid and cook.
Tomatoes are cooked properly. Adding 1/2 teaspoon garam masala. Stir it. Close lid and cook it for another 1 minute. Cook it by closing lid for 1 minute, then our futu vegetable is ready. Futu vegetable is ready.
Serve it with rice or roti. This is local futu. This is available only during rainy season (July-Aug). In a year, only available during this period. Few points to be taken care. Futu comes with lot of mud.
Wash it at-least for 5-6 times till futu is completely mud free. Then break it into small parts. Wash it again with warm water. So that mud is completely removed. Mud is not good for health as well as for taste.
