Hello and welcome to ‘Khana Ghar Ghar Ka’ I am Meneka Wish you a very very Happy Republic Day I must say I am a proud Indian As old as our nation’s civilization and culture, this dish dates back a lot more Stews are being prepared by humans since the past 8,000 years It is been made with dear meat Bear meat Only vegetables A lot of different versions Today we’ll be preparing stew with mutton And also add a few vegetables Take 1 cooker We’ll add a little oil Cumin Seeds Black Peppercorns Around 3 to 4 peppercorns should be enough Cloves Whole Red Chillies Aka “Laal Mirch” Curry Leaves As the oil gets heated And the cumin seeds starts crakling Add roughly chopped onions into it We are not supposed to make the onions very brown Just a little translucent Then we can proceed to our next step In our translucent onions, we’ll add a tablespoon of Ginger-Garlic Paste Mix them all properly After frying the paste for sometime, You can add mutton into it I have washed the mutton properly All the extra fats have also been washed off We’ll now add a little salt into it 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric And 1/2 tablespoon Red Chilli Powder We are also to add a few vegetables to our stew But mutton takes quite long to cook So we’ll allow it to cook for two whistles And then add the vegetables A little amount of water 1 more stir Ready to pressure cook Mutton is almost cooked And will be cooking a little more with the vegetables Let us add a few vegetables Peas Diced Potatoes A few carrots Little more amount of water And allow it to get cooked again Superb! Both the vegetables and mutton are cooked We’ll stir in a little bit of coconut milk After adding the coconut milk, allow it to simmer for sometime so that the coconut milk gets perfectly blended And bring in a creamy texture Now it’s done We can serve our stew now Almost all the colours can be seen in our dish Garnish it with slit green chilies Hot Mutton Stew Ready to be eaten!
