Everyone is aware of the Nine gems in Akbar’s palace! Similar to the royal palace, today I will be preparing a royal dish.. ..which is ‘Navratan Korma’! It is called Navratan as it is made of 9 things! So let’s begin! Let’s start with heating the oil, as usual.
We have to take 2 tbsp of oil. Half a tsp of cumin seeds. Oil is nicely heated! Now, let’s take the masala paste.. ..made of 3 onions, 2 tomatoes, 7 to 8 garlic cloves.. ..half an inch of ginger, 1 tbsp of raisins, 1 tbsp of cashew nuts.
. ..and 1 tbsp of coriander seeds, all crushed together. Now, we will add the masala paste to the oil. And let’s stir fry it nicely. It will take around 5 to 10 minutes! 10 minutes later. Now, let’s add some spices, salt, cashew nuts and raisins to this! 1 tsp of kitchen king masala.
1 tbsp of mix masala. After that, let’s add cashew nuts and raisins.. ..15 to 20 of each! Now, let’s add some butter to it. 1 tbsp of butter. Now, let’s mix it nicely. These are finely chopped vegetables – french beans, cauliflower, carrots and capsicum.
They are 3/4th cooked. For this, boil some water, add washed vegetables to it and.. ..keep them for around 5 minutes and drain the water. Let’s add the vegetables. Next comes, salt to taste. Now, let’s mix it well.
Let’s add some water. This is around a cup of water. Mix it nicely. Let’s take a sweet lime. Add half of it now and remaining later. Let’s mix it once again. Let’s cover it with a lid and cook until it releases the oil.
It will take around 15 to 20 minutes. 20 minutes later. Let’s check if it’s done! It’s nicely done. Now, let’s add a butter cube to it. Let’s stir it for a while. This vegetable preparation doesn’t form a runny gravy but a thick one! Let’s add some coriander leaves.
Let’s switch off the stove now. Let’s take it out. Let’s garnish it with the remaining sweet lime. (You can) add any fruit (of your choice). Also, let’s garnish it with some grated paneer. A bit of coriander.
