Hey y’all, it’s Rosie from IHeartRecipes.com, and I have a slow-cooker Greek yogurt mac and cheese recipe for you to enjoy. We’re going to start off with our cheeses here. I have my sharp cheddar cheese, I also have some smoked gouda, and we’ll also be using some Monterey Jack cheese.
Okay, so now we are going to combine all the cheeses into a large mixing bowl, or whatever works for you. Then set that to the side. Here, I have my Greek yogurt. And with the Greek yogurt, I’m going to add in some melted salted butter at this time.
Now we’re going to add in some half-and-half. And the next ingredient will be chicken broth. Now I know this sounds funny, but that ending results are simply amazing, so do not replace any of the ingredients that I use! Mix everything until it’s nice and creamy.
And now we’re going to add in our seasonings. I have my seasoning salt that has black pepper in it. If yours does not have black pepper, go ahead and sprinkle that in. Now I’m going to add in some onion powder as well as some garlic powder.
And I’m also going to add in a little bit of smoked paprika and cayenne pepper. Now, if you don’t like the kick of cayenne, you can leave that out. Mix everything until it’s well combined. And now we are ready to put everything together.
So let’s grab our slow cooker, and we are going to add in our elbow macaroni pasta. As you see, it is uncooked and we’ll have plenty of time to cook in the slow cooker. Now we can start adding in our cheeses.
We’re going to mix it with the macaroni pasta. And now we can pour in our Greek yogurt mixture. Now we’re going to give everything a nice stir. Now once everything is nice and well combined, we’re going to grab our lid, place it on our slow cooker, and now we’re going to let this cook for two and a half hours on low.
Now this is the finished look; simply creamy, irresistible Greek yogurt mac and cheese made in the slow cooker.
